for mass spectrometry, chromatography, and separations
Modern Commercial mass spectrometers, chromatographs and other analytical instruments are designed to cover a broad spectrum of analytical applications. Adoption and optimizations of a commercial instrument for a novel analytical method often requires reengineering and sometimes even a physical or functional modification of the instrument. We help analytical laboratories modify their existing instruments for well defined, but unique methods. Such method development requires expertise in both applications and instrumentation. Such projects are handled by our Instrument Development Group, under the guidence of our Research and Development Group.
Instrument Development group of BeMole Sci provides the following services:
- Design of unique components for analytical instruments (mass spectrometers, chromatographs, etc)
- Modification and optimization of an instrument for the application (sample preparation, chromatography, separations, ionization, reactions, detection)
- Feasibility study and analytical validation of the instrumental solution (dynamic range, selectivity, specificity, accuracy, precision, etc)
- Design and realization of unique automated complex instruments (tandems, hybrids) in collaboration with the client
- Training of clients' personnel on new and existing instruments (mass spectrometry, chromatography, custom built hybrids)
How it works:
BeMole Sci Instrumental consultants are experts in scientific instrument development. They are working in the fields of separations and mass spectrometry for proteomics, genomics, pharmacology, environmental science, etc. Based on our client's requirements, they will propose an instrumental approach for the analytical application. BeMole Sci can build custom instruments as turn-key solutions, or engage in an instrument development collaboration. In each case, the collabration model is discussed with the client. BeMole Sci and the client sign agreements for collaboration and confidentiality, and a contract. The Project is managed in accord with standard procedures, including meetings, milestones, periodic progress reports, etc. If the collaboration agreement outlives the project, a follow-up project can be started with only a new contract.
